Integrated more than 30 children from our special school to Normal Schools.
Spreading Awareness in the community by giving lectures and holding seminars at various public places like Schools, Colleges, Rotary Clubs.
Brought out many parents out of their enclosed shell through counseling and motivating them to bring out the best in the special kids.
Trained teachers of many schools for how to work with special children and how to integrate them in normal class rooms.
Providing literature and information to parents regarding the disabilities of their children and making them aware of the role played by Government of India for their betterment (National Trust).
Taken Steps to make special children a part of our society by taking them out to different excursions for e.g.

Taken them out for a movie at Cinepolis ( Celebration Mall ) who had arranged a special show free of charge for these Special children of our schools. |

Took them out to Pizza Hut where their staff played and danced with these special children and treated them with free pizzas and refreshments. |

Took them out to a Picnic to Rose Garden where they took swings, played musical games and shared their lunch. People, who were present there, lend a helping hand to our kids and shared their happiness. |

Celebrated Children day on 14th Nov, 2009 at Amritsar Club “ Khushi”. The chief guest was Civil Surgeon Dr. Lhember Singh with Rotary clubs and other schools. |
Put our Special Children on Public Platform for the very first time by presenting them Group Dance, Performance after getting 15 days of training by Shaimak Daver (Dance Group of Bombay).
Persuading the parents of and helping them to get a Disability Certificate and Concessional Certificates needed for their special kids.
Guiding the parents of special children (Children above 18 years ) to Appoint a Guardian for them as recommended by Government of India.
Spreading happiness & warmth among the families of special children by celebrating various festivals with them, jointly with Pingalwara, Red Cross and other NGO’ as Mothers of these Special children are always under stress and strain.
We also hold various awareness programs at Public Places, Schools, Colleges, Rotary Clubs, and also honored by all of them.
We also hold meeting with Deputy Commissioner of Amritsar from time to time to discuss about the problems faced by parents of Special Children.
We have also started a “Computer Centre” to give a vocational training.
We have also purchased different “Sensory Equipments” for the Special Children so they are benefited and could go the Regular schools (Vestibulor/Swing)
We have also started a New Event by celebrating the birthdays of these special children.
We also plan Seminars for the Parents of these Special Children so that they are benefited and look after their children in a better way and .We are also providing literature so that they are educated to get the best results.
Our Vision is that children are given best Education to help Neuro Developmentally delayed children with the help of the latest medical advances to recover brain damage to the extent possible to enhance their quality of life and self sufficiency.
So, We have opened this Special school for special children named “GICD Little Angel School. ” It is our unique effort to Integrate these ”Special Children” into the Normal School.
Vision is different and holistic- No Special Child should suffer on this earth. |
